Life : Cooking the Turkey Again

Posted by Compubomb On Nov 25, 2004 @ 1:13 pm | Visited ( 289 )

Once again, I get to be the one placed with the responsibility of cooking a turkey which is somewhat edable after being cooked. I usually don't do anything fancy to the turkey, i just pop on some salt / pepper some canola oil and some pre-packaged seasonings, oh.. and that uhm.. poltry tenderizer or what ever they call it. You can buy it at the store for about 99c a pack. Anyways, to those of you who are eating turkey, have a somewhat pleasant ThanksGiving. For those of you who don't love eating turkey, join the club. :)

Site Updates : Source Viewer

Posted by Compubomb On Nov 23, 2004 @ 1:12 am | Visited ( 282 )

Yes, I know, my source viewer was a big mess. It was full of flaws and did not do very good directory jail authentication in terms of giving access to those with malicious intent as to hack my server. Anyways, I have updated the source with the help of a rather uhm.. Nepolian`ish twist of a guy "kuja" from #dotgeek was very helpful, Thanks man.

Ranting : People Are Different

Posted by Compubomb On Nov 21, 2004 @ 10:46 pm | Visited ( 316 )

I've noticed that I don't get along with people unless they are 3 things. Well mannered, well cultured, think for themselves. If they cannot attend the status of those 3 characteristics, they always tend to rub me the wrong way. When I talk to people, I talk about philosophy, I talk about politics, I talk about computers - you name it - I can take it to death, both analytically and conservatively. When people wonder why I don't get along with them, it usually comes down to they lack one of the 3 characteristics which I require people be. The other day I spoke with one chick I used to have in my math course, well anyways, she is very easy going person, very well mannered, is open-minded and has empathy, she knows how to give perspective on topics which many people seem to lack, primarily those who I seem to run into that is. The two people I know best in the world as of yet, are also two of the most mannered, Thinking individuals that I believe I will ever be great friends with. Both of whom I met on very short instances, but kept in touch with. If your reading this article you probably know who you are (Joe,Justin). The reason I write this article is because someone I have known online for a long time, I have met this dude on several occasions and he always seems to rub me the wrong way, our personalities clash. I'm not saying that he is a dick, but rather that many of our defining characteristics are very similar in that we both have superiority complexes. Think of Napoleon the Great, that little short prick thought he was better than everyone else because intellectually he was in many respects; however, he lacked a lot of what caused his demise. The ability to give perspective on situations which he was placed in, also the ability of empathy to understand the feelings of other people. To be continued . . .

Site Updates : New CSS Update

Updated my site, hope those of you who actually read my posts like the look better than the old style. I changed the look because i thought that the content looked overly complex with all those lines and dashes all over the place - maybe it gave it some more contrast, but i think that overall it made it harder on the eyes so..

School : Watching a Chick Browse

Posted by Compubomb On Nov 15, 2004 @ 2:39 pm | Visited ( 249 )

This is somewhat interesting, i'm watching this chick next to me at school browse a uhm.. www.gaiaonline.com and i can't believe how some people can browse through threads with such enthusiasm. She reads threads, comments on them in like 5 seconds and does the same to like 50 other posts as if she were having a conversation. I don't know exactly the kind of people who do this.. but it seems rather pecular. That site is uhm.. for chicks i guess you could say :) heh..

Ranting : Feelings of inspiration

Just finished reading CuddleTech and I'm feeling somewhat upbeat about the perspective of how I think. (sniff) Anyways, I always enjoy reading rants / digressions of cerebral people because it gives an insight into how these people experience life. I'm usually never in the right mood to put my thoughts down but today I feel that I owe it to whom ever reads my site to have some kind of substance to consume. Took some pictures of my cat's for my web-cam; kind of wish my web-cam had a zoom of some sorts so I could zoom in on my cats to show online (I'm not much to look at, however, my cats are purdy).

On another note, I changed my room around a bit. I cleaned off my glass desk which had a pile of papers with paper binders on top of having a plate which I ate some hamburger patties on. I then cleaned the glass, I went into the other room and proceeded to take out the extra NIC card I didn't need in my spear 600mhz computer which just so happened to be laying around. So now I have 2 monitors in front of my desk - both of which are hooked up to the internet - but what is driving me nuts is the fact that my spear computer hard drive that being a Seagate U4 13gig drive is making an extremely annoying high-pitched noise. So it's driving me nuts, thus I have turned it off and don't plan to use it unless I absolutely find extreme boredom.

And Another Note, I feel somewhat liberated in the fact that I got a few things I've been wanting / needing (TI-89 Titanium Graphing Calculator, Logitech MX510 Mouse). So right now I have a whopping 260 dollars left which will enviably go for books presuming I don't have to give it all to my father and pray I get enough money for books next semester.

School : I'm going Nuts here

Posted by Compubomb On Nov 05, 2004 @ 12:02 pm | Visited ( 176 )

Okay right now i'm at school, and these pricks just walked up to me and said, is tha an internet chat room, and i said, no it's an ssh client, they then said, are you chatting online, i said i'm on an ssh client viewing a chatroom. I'm going mad right now.. Ugh.. i think they hate the idea that i can get online and chat without them knowing what i'm doing. Next thing you know the school will upgrade to the next version of windows and block all zip/usb/fast media storage devices and require you only use an antiquated floppy drive.. These people need to grow a fucking brain. There is nothing wrong with talking online as long as it does not disturb or keep others from getting their work done. I get online so i can chat with others to find out what is going on including i also use it to contact people to pick me up because most of my friends don't usually answer their phones and thus the only way to contact them is via the internet messengers / irc.

Ponderance : Stupid Holly Rollers

Posted by Compubomb On Nov 03, 2004 @ 11:44 am | Visited ( 251 )

Hell frozen over during this last election with John Kerry vs. G.W.Bush for president. I can't believe what I saw on TV, John Kerry Conceded as being defeated. During this election G.W.Bush used his "Born Again Christian" status to people to simply vote for him. I know I'm an American but for crying out loud, this election was rigged. Were does Colorado get off changing the divvying up of their electorates. Anyways, i have a large hatred for the ignorance of our evangelical conservatism in this country, as i earlier pointed out to many of my friends "I've come to a conclusion that the world is actually flat, and science and progression through society means nothing because god said it ain't so. Matter of fact, all gays should be burned at the stake and crucified for disobeying god" and in the eyes of these type of people all is right in the world. Well, for their information, right now many of the victims of 911 are finally starting to get some action, they are having the entire 911 case reinvestigated, even though our current president made a mockery of our own judicial process. Something needs to be done!
