Life : True Friendship
Posted by Compubomb On May 19, 2004 @ 3:55 pm | Visited ( 182 )
Yesterday at my house our power went out. I called the only person at the time i knew could help us
out because my families financial possition. My friend's dad came over because he's an electrician
and figured out the problem within 2 hours, i offered to some how pay him back, but he was not
interested in being payed back, he even offered to help fix our lines to avoid this kind of problem
ever again. This is the second time that he has bailed my family out of a problem when it came to
electrical problems since our house is a bit old and gery-riged all over the place. From what i can
gather, one of the essential things to living a happy life is to have good friends, because the
moral of the story is when you do have friends you can rely on other people to bail you out of very
tough situations, and they raise your morale. I only wish i had more friends because i'm rather
introverted and approaching people can sometimes be very difficult. Life is grand now that i know i
have friends to help out in those tough situtations.

Life : Optimistic View on I.T.

I have just finished reading this article by Richard K. Miller called "IT Outsourcing Need Not Threaten Our Future "
and I was uplifted. Normally these days, all I see is bad news about outsourcing I.T. This article
brought back some of that good ole spirit which has been lacking in my mind that our country is one
of this worlds foundation for innovation. For anyone to claim that the USA has not shown its merits
in technological wonders is in denial. If only we all had his enthusiasm, if this were true our
economy would be in a much better status than it currently is. On a second note, I also agree that
our engineers in this country have a very close minded tunnel vision when it comes to what a
productive engineer really is. Intellect is only part of the equation in becoming an innovative
engineer. To reach the full potential of which could be wondrous, engineers have to learn how to
work as a team as non-closed minded individuals and accept other ideas, for the ability to take
criticism is a strong trait which leads to a higher probability towards innovative thinking.

If only I could have been raised the way this article deems to be the proper way to Raise Bright Children. When I was younger, I
didn't receive any special treatment from either of my parents in terms of trying to help bring out
my intellectual potential. All they did was keep me from killing myself and that was pretty much the
extent of the affection they gave me. My father was pretty much self-absorbed, and always seemed to
get caught up in his own problems. I became the after-thought, and my education was second on the
list of non-important things to do. The only reason my father got me into a specialized reading
program is he found out at the last minute that I was going to fail first grade. Once he took care
of that, I was just another problem he solved. He took me with him to work mainly to show me off,
but other than that, I was just a nuisance.
Web Design : Opportunity Arises

Well an associate of mine prompted a very lucrative opportunity to me the other day. It may be
possible for me to get into the development field in terms of site development. Looks like I may
able to finally add something worth wild to my resume. Of all the things it could be it is a porn
site which would be one of my first commercial projects. So anyone who actually reads this page,
wish me luck on this project, because I could get enough money by the end of summer to purchase a
car

Damn it I say, It is impossible for me to figure out how to submit email through my smtp server. Why
can't I RTFM and figure shit out like the rest of geeks in this world. Grrr, stupid postfix. I even
tried using webmin to set this shit up and I still don't understand much of what the configuration
options are even for.
Life : I Can't A Get Job

I have been trying to find a job for the past 8 months and I have com to the conclution that the
only way I will be able to get one is if i move out, or telecommute. The simple fact that i don't
have a car or a consisten means of transportation is a justification as to why I cannot find a job
which i can commute to. All the jobs which even remotely apply to me are atleast 35 to 40 miles
away, and those which are what I specialize in are all atleast 60 to 90 miles way which would
include LA County, Orange County, Sandiego County. Why can't California be like NY in the sense that
you can go pretty much anywhere without a car. Damn Governor......
