Ranting : Trance Defined
Posted by Compubomb On Jun 30, 2004 @ 12:16 am | Visited ( 314 )
I believe I have defined what good epic trance does to the human psyche. Trance (music) acts almost
like a sedative which can put you in an induced state of euphoria. I'm not talking about from a drug
induced euphoric state but rather a mind over matter transformation of the self conscious. While you
are listening to the music you will notice that as you get more into it (music) you start to feel
shivers go down your back and a very warm feeling overwhelms your body. As you start to realize the
euphoric state of mind the bass begins to take over your body and so you no longer dance on the
floor but rather in a moment in time where you felt euphoria through ... [the rest is up to you
]
I believe
the reason why trance is so appealing to many people is the type of bass transitions and the
frequency of the bass. If the treble is set too high trance can be ruined. By the same token if the
bass is too high the music will be distorted. So just make sure you get yourself a good pair of
headphones so you can actually enjoy the experience. Remember, cheap headphones and or speakers will
make anything sound shit if you have not heard it at a concert. In order to realize the potential of
music you must be able to duplicate the highs / minds / lows which most low quality headphones
cannot accommodate those qualities.
And I'm talking about good DJ's like Andre
Visior, Armin Van Burren, Tiesto, and Ferry Corsten
Software : Eclipse 3.0

Eclipse 3.0 IDE for Java development is far superior in my opinion than it's previous version 2.x.
The newest version of Eclipse has one of the most streamline IDE interfaces i have seen since
Microsoft Visual Studio .Net. But Eclipse is free as in beer.
My first impression
was this is going to be complicated and hard to use like the previous builds of eclipse and netbeans
which was included with the sdk of java a little while back. Netbeans 3.5 is one of the most
complicated IDE's i have ever had the misfurtune of trying out and being overwelmed the minute i
open it up. Well, with eclipse 3.0, i was excited and very surprised to see how easy it was to get
started on building my first hello world console application using the "Welcome" menu i clicked on
the tutorial on getting started on building my hellow world application. It was a breaze, and now i
can actually get started working with my java book because i can now understand how to compile a
simple application using the eclipse IDE
I am now excited to start learning java
just because of the pure ease of use of the Eclipse IDE. Java no longer seems like something i will
have to grudge through.
Two thumbs up from me.
Ponderance : Looking & Relecting

For the last few days i have been viewing blogs from all over the internet and from what i gather,
those who use them often seem to have more of a intelectually stimulating social life. Yet, those
who have them and make scattered posts seem to be in what would seem to be a rut of socialization. I
wonder if those who do have a good social life are actively social online or are they actively
social in everyday life. Just as i wonder if those with the scattered posts in their blogs are less
social than the rest.
My observations are not always perfect, but i usually can
figure out the jist of those individuals personalities by reading what they write.

Finally got my computer fixed, it no longer reboots when the power supply overheats. A good friend
of mine joe supplied me with a new 300w p4 ready power supply which definately made my day
.
On another
note i found out my qos script may be included on the future release being 1.0 of ipkungfu which
would definately make me happy

I updated the look of the gah site which is located in my links to the Gah Community.
I am very upset right now because my darn computer keeps turning off every hour and
untill i get a new power supply or some thermal grease to put on the cpu / heatsink, my computer
will propetually turn off for no damn reason..
I just finished up this really
nifty script which i plan to put a new section on my site for software. Well anyways the script is
designed to automatically build a really nice QoS(quality of service) rules so you can cap your line
for when your room mate decides to start downloading every porn video online and you will actually
be able to browse and use ssh at the same time. (give me some time to put it up)
Life : Mmm Coffee

Today I cleaned out my coffee maker and now the coffee actually taste wonderful. I used this cleaner
that claims it's better than running viniger through the coffee maker. Well anyways, i guess they
were right on the spot because now the coffee no longer has that horrible bitter after taste that it
did for a few months. Now that i know how to make coffee taste good I plan to clean it out atleast
once a month. Usually i only drink coffee when i plan to stay up long periods of time, and i have
also noticed caffeine(can't spell) helps me stay sharp for longer periods of time.
On another note, I am in the process of updating the css for #gah Planet, which you can find a
link for in my links area.
Ranting : DAMN YOU CAT (Electrical Fire)
Posted by Compubomb On Jun 09, 2004 @ 1:58 pm | Visited ( 228 )
Well, for the past day or so i was not able to get online. This was primarly due to my carlessness
in which I left out a bottle of bleach which we used to get stains out of white T-Shirts. Well
anyways, our cats as usual were hyper early in the morning and nocked this spray bottle on it's
side. The bottle eventually leaked so much that it started to fall over the edge onto an electrical
plug bar. The bleach caused a small electrical fire and my dsl was hooked up to it. The fire toasted
the DSL power supply and i was without internet for a whole day
. So verizon sent me a new modem ASAP next
day air via UPS and BAMN I'm online right now
Life : Yummy Food

Yummy food == good living
I just went to Smart&Final and picked up some really tasty food, that being Chicken
fried Tenderloins and some canola oil why was not cheap, i got 1 gallon for $6.74 USD. Cooked each
tenderlion for 8 minutes in the oil only high enough to bathe the chicken and cooked 3 pieces and
put it on a sandwitch which was amazingly tasty
. I love food that fills me up and taste
good at the same time.
