Life : So much, So little time

Well, a lot has happened since the last time i posted on site. Spent the night at a friends house
via invitation which was very interesting to say the least. Found out some facts about friend which
totally rubbed me the wrong way in terms of respect for individual. Learned to partially compile
kernel heh.. actually i compiled kernel on slackware but i was in a different state of mind when i
did it. Got home and went to sleep for like 6 hours then woke up and started up computer. Power went
out and so all computers my house turned off and when i rebooted all the systems coincidently my IBM
30gb drive with slackware installed on it died not to mention the House Microwave/Convection Oven
broke which now has to be fixed or replaced.
After all these wonderful events,
i'm now attempting to convert all the linux systems on my network being 2.5 systems to debian 3.x
(testing) which seems to be rather favor`able. Tried compiling kernel from source on personal
computer and i ran into some problems with grub so i'm just going to take a break for a while as to
allow my brain to soak in all the new-founded knowledge over the last couple of days.
OSS : Debian

Well, it's been a while since I have used Debian. As a matter of fact, debian was my first distro I
learned how to install not including the multiple attemps I had tried with Redhat 7.2 - 9.0.
Anyways I have decided I will once again try to grasp linux with a much more firm understanding of
how things work. So far i've run Mandrake 9.0 - 10.0 for workstation purposes and also server
purposes. I have learned a substantial amount considering the time I've used linux which can only
really be amounted to about 4 months straight. This time I plan to go all the way -- I'm not saying
i will "convert" -- But I do plan to be able to say with confidence that I am an experienced user of
linux.

OSS : MyCMS Update

Well, i have since updated much of the backend of my current content managment system. I do have
plans to release it as soon as i have finished it. It's internals are built so you can template the
site with any engine you desire and you can still make it extremely functional. I built the api for
the CMS to be extremely intuitive because that is how i learn and how i make things easier to
develop for myself. I have about 90% of the overall CMS completed. If you notice, you will see on
the left hand site of my site an archive of all the news / postings. That is the newest lib i've
made to enhance the functionality of the system.

Ponderance : A State of Mind

Have you ever noticed how it seems that all those classified as nerds / geeks and within that
classification all those who are Computer Science / Engineering fields always seem to be more prone
to anxiety and depression oriented illnesses? It seems that everyone I know who is aiming towards
one of these fields have one time or another had bouts with extreme anxiety and depression in many
forms. I have just been wondering why so many of the intellect in this world are faced with more
emotional trauma than the rest. I sometimes wonder to myself, maybe these illnesses help condition
intellect maybe these are emotions which foster the greater good in humanity. Maybe I have
categorized a bit too narrow but I do believe the majority of those extremely intelligent high
achievers have experienced and transcended through those dreadful times to become the people they
are today. Without depression, how can there be good, how can you know what feelings are happy and
what feelings are sad? I think without the two, you can never experience equilibrium in terms of
state of mind.
Ponderance : How come....

How come every time I log on to www.orkut.com I always find
myself in envy of some of the people on that site. I mean, either some of these people are amazing
at embelishing themselves or they truely are rather accomplished in their fields. When i think about
myself, and compare, I'm always disapointed. Damn it, I need to stop comparing myself to these other
people grr...
