Obstacles of Progress

So, school has started, I believe it was on the 14th of august. I originally registered for Calculus
3, Physics 1, and Communications 100 (Public Speaking). Since then I've dropped my Calculus 3 course
because my professor's teaching methodology didn't correspond to my ability to comprehend the
complicated subject. Multivariable Calculus should be taken in stride with plenty of examples, which
he didn't seem to agree on. Anyways, apart from dropping Calc 3 I'm still taking physics with a
professor who is simply amazing in his ability to get you to think; unfortunately I'm still
struggling to get used to how to solve written word problems, but it will come in time. I'm in
public speaking and that class seems to be a joke as far as presentation goes. Makes me kind of
wonder what the point is, other than being forced to give speeches.
On a
secondary note, I've started learning how to drive. Got my driving permit and been taking it to the
road. Hopefully I'll eventually get the hang of it with great enthusiasm. My dad was telling me that
if when I get better at driving he's going to get me a Honda Civic which I'm totally floored by the
idea. Anyways, life seems to be going okay at the moment, I guess the idea is to take life in stride
and to live it one day at a time, and most of all to not take anything for granted as it could be
taken away from you in an instant--I'm talking primarily of my dad's health, one day he's great, the
next day he's feeling horrible.
