Site Updates : REST & Jquery

Posted by Compubomb On Jul 19, 2008 @ 7:43 am | Visited ( 132 )

So, I've implemented REST urls & implemented a Jquery menu for Links, Category, and Archive. All the urls now look like so url.com/controller/arg1/val1/arg2/val2 It's pretty nifty.

Correction: I guess i didn't actually implement REST, i only made my urls friendly. Either way, i find it nifty.

Site Updates : Moved Site URL

Posted by Compubomb On Nov 24, 2005 @ 10:22 pm | Visited ( 189 )

I've re-registered compubomb.com and compubomb.net for it's own sake of not being hijacked ever again by porn sites trying to get their hands on every domain possible to up their number of hits. My site has moved from compubomb.the-dev-solutions.net to www.compubomb.net Hopefully, this will be the premanent place of residing. I still own www.the-dev-solutions.net and i will own it for quite some time as it will eventually hold a place as being a launching point to jobs etc or just general information about who i work with and what i work on. I haven't worked much on any scripts or php for a great while. In part due to my school scedule. That will in most cases probably not change untill i graduate, which should be atleast another 5 years. I'll do my best to keep up to date, but i'm human and sometimes i just want to vegetate and do nothing.

Site Updates : Radio Blog

Posted by Compubomb On Jun 06, 2005 @ 6:52 pm | Visited ( 217 )

I just added a new feature to my site, It's called Radio.Blog.Club and it really is neat, essentially, you put mp3s on your site, and it will start playing them as tho it were an mp3 player, well actually, who am i kidding, it is an mp3 player, but in order to use it, your supposed to re-encode the files to a lower bitrate in order to avoid getting into trouble by giving the original out, which i would never do to the general public. That would be illegal essentially. Click on Radio Blog link on my site and check it out for yourself.

Note: Please, if you enjoy the music, consider purchasing the albums off ( (eye) tunes ) or off some record store to help contribute to the artists.

I will periodically remove tracks from blog and add new ones to sample some of my collection, the more exposure to music styles, the better in my opinion. I want to open peoples minds up to everything out there, but i'm in no way saying that my taste in music is superior of more vast in any genre than anyone else, i guess i'm just rather eclectic in genre exposure.

Site Updates : New Theme

Posted by Compubomb On Apr 17, 2005 @ 6:50 am | Visited ( 204 )

I finally got the inclination to update the long overdue layout for my site. Hope you all like it because this will be the last one I make for another long over due period. I've made sure it is compliant to the maximum. It works on Internet Explorer, it works on Gecko / Mozilla based browsers, it also works without issue on Opera of all browsers. I did not even have to use any browser hacks because I'm special like that. Any opinions on the layout, you know where to put them--comments section.

Site Updates : Lots of Updates

Posted by Compubomb On Dec 02, 2004 @ 2:21 pm | Visited ( 230 )

Well, I have updated a lot of the CMS Administrative UI css2. I have also updated a lot of the link category sections on the site; I added new categories and re-organized many of the links which were already present on the site from the start. Added some new people to the #gah Community section; a bunch of links to art sites; I also added a new section for educational oriented links such as PBS / Nova links etc of that nature. Hopefully I can eventually one of these days update the entire link section to no only work as news but as links.

Site Updates : Source Viewer

Posted by Compubomb On Nov 23, 2004 @ 1:12 am | Visited ( 282 )

Yes, I know, my source viewer was a big mess. It was full of flaws and did not do very good directory jail authentication in terms of giving access to those with malicious intent as to hack my server. Anyways, I have updated the source with the help of a rather uhm.. Nepolian`ish twist of a guy "kuja" from #dotgeek was very helpful, Thanks man.

Site Updates : New CSS Update

Updated my site, hope those of you who actually read my posts like the look better than the old style. I changed the look because i thought that the content looked overly complex with all those lines and dashes all over the place - maybe it gave it some more contrast, but i think that overall it made it harder on the eyes so..
