Note to Keith Olbermann [ Ranting ]

His Youtube Video Commentary

I just wanted to thank you for giving that commentary. What a way to dress down a president than to use a good ole fashioned cut throat argument which you supported like a bullet. My suggestion to you is to seriously look into Ron Paul. My guess is you are a Democrat, but he is one of the only men, and the strongest candidate to run on an honest ticket, who by trade runs transparent on everything he does. His voting record is a mirrored reflection on his dedication to the constitution and as you are always lambasting the president for overlooking his job to uphold the constitution; all other candidates are status quo with horse blinders as their advisers tell them everything. Exceptions exist. Dennis Kucinich, who actually relies on his own brain and on that of which he reads. He is truly connected with the world and the internet as he doesn't brush everything off as a conspiracy. Let those who speak the truth and those who will uphold all that this great country has to offer that of which is the constitution be our leaders. Not the jock in highschool who rewards loyalty over morality and principle.

Hi yall [ Life ]

School should be starting. This time around will be the first time I've ever been driving to my classes. My hopes are high for this coming semester. I have some reservations as to how well I will do considering my handicap, that being that I haven't taken calculus for almost a year now. I passed calc 1 and 2 both with a B but they say if you don't use it you lose it. I should be taking physics 201 with calculus once again hopefully without the animosity of the other students and calculus 3 with a competent professor who can hopefully get the topic across to me. I plan to try my best this time around; I just hope I don't fall into my old routine of getting depressed or just being lazy. Programming these days has been put on the back burner this semester. My hopes are to get through what I have on my current plate. I don't know if I'd ever have been able to make it through a university level education at this level considering how hard these topics are or if I had the family problems I do today. At this point, my mom is now severely diabetic, she has lost her sight completely and is likely to lose her other foot above the ankle, so that means she will have no feet and be wheel chair bound. When your mother is schizophrenic it can ruin a lot of your life experiences considering how much pressure it puts on you emotionally and those around you. Anyways, she is now in the hospital and probably won't ever be coming back home considering her physical and emotional ailments.

Anyways, life is too long to think about what you cannot control and start focusing on what you can.

Questions about Government. [ Ranting ]

I have just finished watching a episode of PBS's Frontline called When Kids get Life Aired on 05/08/2007, and I was appalled. From what I've been reading about the state of our country for at least the last 20 years, virtually nothing when it comes to the judiciary branch or the legislative branch has done anything that would be deemed as fair or humane. How is it that we live in the supposed most modern society, most humane society on the planet and we treat juveniles with the same disdain we treat hardened criminals. Why is it that politics are so dense and hard to weave through that when it comes to getting help to individuals--which is supposed to be afforded--is non-existent until a crime is committed? Do our politicians have a grasp on reality? Do they know--or the big question--do they care; has anyone--if you even read this blog--know of any instant where you believed what has happened--in the government[politics/law making]--ever helped anybody who was part of a larger group of disadvantaged people without the intervention of non-government assistance?

I see this episode and I don't just think of the injustices that happen in our judicial branch, but I also look at how the politics of our society are interwoven. A major portion of why these boys, many of whom were prosecuted near or around the columbine incident garnered so much time was because the media tainted the jury pools when it came down to deciding the fates of these people--who were teens at the time. Has our society lost all faith in children, teenagers, and young adults?

New Stuff [ Personal ]

Finally upgraded my computer, got a * ASUS G Series G1-AK024C NoteBook Intel Core 2 Duo T7200(2.00GHz) 15.4* Wide SXGA+ 2GB DDR2 667 160GB 5400rpm DVD Super Multi NVIDIA GeForce Go 7700 - Retail* Off newegg for roughly $2k, was originally 2,400 USD, but i got the warranty refunded, but once i got that finished, everything made sense price wise, considering everything it has, I'd say it's a pretty decent price. Also got a pair of HD215 Sennheisers as you can see in my webcam pics as i wear and enjoy them. Not only did i get a laptop, but i also built a workstation sporting another core 2 duo, but it was an e6400 now currently overclocked to 3.1ghz with the help of a good technologist friend, i have it running stable on an MSI P6N SLI Platinum LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 650i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail also from newegg. Can't really beat heir prices or their return policies. Anyways, I only purchased that board because it's the only one that i've seen which not only has pata but also sports sata which is a major plus in my book, it has the 2 pata ports, very important--untill 99.9% of drives on the market are no longer pata. Also, now that most of the systems are sporting the 10/100/1000 nic cards, i decided to start migrating us to gigabit ethernet and i must say, it's quite fast, transfering an episode of DL TV to another system in well under 20 seconds smiles
