Nominate ETN.fm @ the 2009 IDMA awards!

The International Dance Music Awards are held every year at the Winter Music Conference in Miami, Florida. Last year they got rid of the "Best Internet Dance Radio Station" category and it is now just "Best Radio Station". It may be a long shot, but we were nominated two years in a row when they did have the best internet radio station category, so you never know!

There are many other relevant categories to vote on as well, so show some love for your favorite ETN dj's & producers! Spread the word... tell your friends, family, and random person walking down the street to vote for ETN and our dj's. Doing so will help put some good vibes into your karma bank :)

Behind the Lyric 9 premieres this week!

Good news, everyone! Marcie has a new episode of her epic Behind the Lyric show ready to go, and as usual we've got the premiere right here on ETN1!

First airing will be Tuesday, 02 December at 1200 US Eastern time, 18h CET with replays at 7pm EST Tuesday, and again Wednesday at 1100 EST, 17hCET.

ETN1 catchup torrents done, reg torrents begin

I'm posting the last of the catchup/request torrents today, #6. I'm still trying to figure out how I'm going to schedule the "normal" torrents moving forward... November is kind of an experimental month to see exactly how much I'm going to be releasing monthly, so I'm saving it all up for 1 big giant torrent that I'll release at the end of the month, then starting in December I'll know exactly where to split it apart, probably into 2 per month. So keep an eye out for that massive November ETN1 torrent at the end of the month and of course I'll keep you all updated on developments.

I've just posted the first of several "catchup" torrents which include shows from as far back as July all the way up through October. I'll wait a few days to build some additional seeds before adding subsequent catchup torrents, and hopefully will also start the "normal" monthly-ish torrents with the November shows. Each catcgup torrent is in the neighborhood of 5 gigs.

Catchup Torrent 1 contains Amadeus - Rhythm Nation, Andrew Bennett - 5th Element, CJ Stone - Electronic Pleasure, Fast Distance, and Koris & DJule - Swiss Connection

Catchup Torrent 2 contains such gems as: Darude - Salmiakki Sessions, Burian & Lieskovsky - Progressive Mind, DITO - Groovespot, Kenji Sekiguchi - Sevensenses and a ton of new Argentine artist Manuel Tilca (check him out, he's badass).

Catchup Torrent 3 includes: Peter Feel - Primetime, Wellenrausch & Rene Ablaze - Trance Culture, Will Holland - Enhanced Recordings show, Yaz - Synthology and a ton of Xijaro - Sunset Excitement (one of my personal favorites).

Catchup Torrent 4 now posted with: Precision Beats, Adam White - Emalodic, Luke Terry - Greenlight, Thomas Datt - Chronicles and Manuel Le Saux - Top 20 Tunes.

Catchup torrent 5 contains: Mazza & Martinelli - Trance Evolution, several episodes of Marcie's Behind the Lyric show and Tommy Pi - Trance Experience and Greenwave - Trance Destiny

Catchup #6 NOW POSTED! contains: John Wright - Upbeat Music, Thomas Datt - Chronicles, Greenwave - Trance Destiny and any remaining user requests. You must reply to this topic to make a request!

Don't forget if you use a decent torrent client at all you can select files to include or exclude from downloading so you don't have to download the entire thing if you don't want... of course it would be way cooler if you would download the whole thing and leave it running to help other downloaders for a while (otherwise known as "seeding")

ETN Needs YOU!

It has been quite awhile since we last posted on the site looking for some help but we have gotten to the point where we think we could really use some. Keep in mind this is a strictly volunteer position; no deadlines, no stress, 'put in the time when you can' type deal :)

Position Title: Web developer / Programmer

Required Skills: A basic understanding of PHP, MySQL, HTML, JavaScript and CSS with at least 1 year experience or a strong desire to learn. MVC framework and SVN knowledge a plus. If you are new to webdev and want a project that could help you build the skills needed to land a position in the industry, ETN could be the perfect place for that! It would definitely be a great project to have listed on your resume! Of course, if you're already a talented and experienced developer that's even better!

We are always working on improving the etn website. There is a huge list of things we want to be able to implement to offer a better user experience. These features take time and since I have been the only one working on the site so far things have been coming along slowly. Any additional help with the site would mean we could roll out awesome new features more frequently and iron out bugs in a more timely manner.

We have a brand new home page layout already designed and I have started re-working almost everything into a much sleeker system with more features. Here is a sneak peak of the new homepage layout.
